Living in a Paper Mill Town, it is only natural that Powell River had it's own incredible newspaper! First learn from Stewart about his family's business in the newspaper industry, starting with the Town Crier. Then, hear from Doug Mobley how the very same newspapers are now an important part of our archives and at the forefront of digitization.

Join us this Fall for a casual evening at the museum! Once a month, from September to December, guest speakers will discuss a variety of topics, tying-in qathet’s history with today’s current events.
The speaker series will be hosted in the Museum Gallery, and will invite locals or visitors to come learn about qathet’s history and present, as well as socialize with us, and ask questions. Throughout the events, we will be serving refreshments as well as snacks. There will also be door prizes!

Doors open at 6:15 pm and presentations start at 6:30 pm.
