Patricia Theatre
Built in 1928, the historic Patricia Theatre has been a staple for entertainment in Powell River for over 90 years. The theatre was designed by influential architect, Henry Holdsby Simmonds and is an example of the Spanish Revival expression of the Arts and Crafts movement. Drop-ins for tours are encouraged.

The Old Courthouse Inn
The Old Courthouse Inn is also located in the Historic Townsite . Built in 1939 in the Tudor Style architecture, The Old Courthouse Inn once housed the “Courts”, Jail, Police Station and all other Provincial Government Services for Powell River. Hotel guests can enjoy the unique charm and character of each of the 7 rooms. An eclectic mix of antiques and collectibles adorn the rooms and halls reminding guests of the days gone by. Enjoy a free breakfast at Edie Rae's Cafe with your overnight stay.

The Sunshine Coast Trail is a 180-kilometre backcountry hiking experience that stretches from Sarah Point in Desolation Sound to Saltery Bay. Traversing a wide variety of landscapes, from coastal shorelines, along creeks and lakes, through old growth forests to panoramic mountaintops, it provides hikers with the opportunity to experience Powell River’s breathtaking backcountry with its rich fauna and flora.

The Lund Resort at Klah ah men
Fred and Charles Thulin originally from Sweden built the first licensed hotel outside of Vancouver in 1895 on the permanent occupation site of Klah ah men, a thriving village used by the Tla’amin, and renamed the site Lund, after a town in Sweden. The hotel operating today was built in 1918 after a forest fire destroyed the original building. The completion of a modern treaty in 2016 saw the return of Klah ah men to its rightful place as Tla’amin titled property. The Nation have refurbished and taken over operations of the resort creating a unique experience for guests.

Shelter Point Regional Park located on the west shores of Texada Island, just south of the residential community of Gillies Bay, is a popular beach-front day-use park and campground. Check out the archaeological display window at the park containing a variety of artifacts that were found on-site and learn about the park’s history and cultural significance.

The Egmont Heritage Centre is located across from the Skookumchuck Narrows Provincial Park. It was built and fitted to tell the story of Native and early pioneers of the area, with an emphasis on logging and fishing.

shíshálh Nation tems swiya Museum
The tems swiya Museum is located at 5555 Sunshine Coast Highway, beside the Raven’s Cry Theatre. The museum delights visitors throughout the year with a large collection of artifacts including many cedar baskets, stone tools and a 3500 year old mortuary stone.

A regional heritage museum located on the unceded traditional territory of the Skwxwú7mesh and shíshálh Nation in beautiful British Columbia. We have two floors of exhibits to explore as well as a reference library, and extensive archives with over 9,000 photographs & documents. Just a short drive from the Langdale Ferry Terminal in Gibsons, B.C.
