| We have received several grants from generous organizations that have enabled us to make purchases and do exhibitions that we otherwise would not have been able to do. We would like to recognize those organizations and their contributions to the Powell�River Historical Museum and Archives.
British Columbia Museums Association: The grant that we received from this organization allowed us to get a collection of precious historical photographs professionally scanned and reproduced. We held an open house display for the public to come and see the works of Rod LeMay, a photographer who captured the earliest days of Powell River in a magical way.
BC 150 Years: This grant also contributed to the Rod LeMay
exhibit described above, and additional
funds from it will go to "Learning from
our Grandmothers" Day, to be held in
October 2008.
